Special Hiring Need for Correctional Officers

9/16/2016

Have you ever wanted to serve your community, keep citizens safe, and truly change people's lives? If yes, then there are exciting career opportunities available for you.

There is currently a special hiring need for Correctional Officers at the Huttonsville (Randolph County) and Mt. Olive (Fayette County) facilities. There are over 50 vacancies for each facility. This is a critical work shortage and the DOP is looking forward to speaking with you.

The WV Division of Corrections operates facilities across the state, from minimum to maximum security, from all-female to all-male to co-ed, and from large prisons to smaller work release centers. Some of the DOC facilities are in greater need of Correctional Officers than others, but at any given time, there are vacancies at most locations. Please see the Correctional Officer I job posting and apply today!
