Joe Thomas Promoted to Deputy Director WV Division of Personnel

In her recent announcement, West Virginia Division of Personnel Director, Sara Walker said, "Please join me in congratulating Joe Thomas on his promotion to Deputy Director of the West Virginia Division of Personnel. Joe has been an essential part of the division for 17 years and I'm confident the division will benefit from his leadership."

Most recently, Thomas has served as Assistant Director in the Employee Relations section of the division. He has a total of 23 years of human resources experience in West Virginia state government as a generalist and in the specialized areas of payroll, classification and compensation, and employee relations. In addition to his work in the Division of Personnel, Thomas has a Master's degree in Industrial and Employee Relations and is a certified professional in human resources.
