Job Opportunities with Non-Covered Agencies:

Non-Covered Agencies are state agencies exempt from the Division of Personnel's merit system, managing their own hiring processes.
These agencies include offices of state elected officials, certain boards, commissions, and colleges.
While the Division of Personnel may post job openings for these agencies, applicants must apply directly to the hiring agency.
Job postings for Non-Covered Agencies will explicitly state: "This job opportunity isn't part of the classified service or covered by the West Virginia Division of Personnel merit system. If you're interested, you need to apply directly to the hiring agency."
Job postings for Non-Covered Agencies will also provide direct application instructions (example: a link to an agency website, email or mailing address for submitting resumes, etc.) instead of an “Apply" button.
