WV Equal Opportunity Coordinator

If you believe you have experienced discrimination, harassment, or retaliation due to your race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information, the Division of Personnel and the State of West Virginia Equal Opportunity Coordinator (EOC) may be able to assist you.

Employees who have concerns about illegal harassment or who wish to request an accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) should contact their agency’s designated Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Coordinator, EEO Counselor, or Human Resources office.

State agencies and employees may also contact the Division of Personnel (DOP) Employee Relations (ER) section of the DOP for EEO or ADA-related questions by calling 304-414-1853 or emailing dopemprelations@wv.gov. Below is additional information and guidance materials on these topics.

Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO)

Federal and state law prohibit employers from discriminating against job applicants or employees because of the person's race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related conditions, transgender status, and sexual orientation), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or genetic information.
