The Governor’s Internship Program offers students the opportunity to gain experience in the workplace. Internships generally last nine (9) to thirteen (13) weeks during the summer but additional opportunities may be available. For more information or to apply, visit https://intern.wv.gov. The 2025 Internship Program is no longer accepting applications.
Program Eligibility:
College applicants:
- Must have completed at least one academic year of study at an accredited college, university or technical school by May of that calendar year
- Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Must be a currently enrolled student at a West Virginia college, university or technical school, or a West Virginia resident attending an accredited college, university or technical school out-of-state
- Graduate students are eligible to apply
- College graduate in May of that calendar year is eligible to apply
High School Applicants:
- A high school senior graduating in May of that calendar year with at least twelve (12) college credit hours and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 in those courses
