Course Description:
This multi-day, virtual training series is designed to provide you with information to help you make informed decisions about your retirement plans. Employees who are contemplating retirement (in the next 5 years) and are 50 years of age or older will gain the most benefit from Heading into Retirement: Planning for a Secure Future.
This series includes four (4), 2-hour sessions with presentations from the following state agencies and private sector financial advisors:
- Consolidated Public Retirement Board (CPRB);
- Empower Retirement and the WV State Treasurers Office (457 (b) Deferred Compensation Plans);
- Public Employee Insurance Agency (PEIA) and Flexible Benefits Management Company (FBMC); and
- U.S. Social Security Administration (SSA).

Audience & Applicability:
This course is designed for and fully applicable to both classified and classified-exempt employees. All content, examples, and guidance are relevant regardless of employment status.
