Course Description:
The Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 mandates a drug- and alcohol-free workplace for West Virginia State agencies. This half-day program helps to ensure compliance with the Act. It also provides you with information to help you maintain a safe and healthy workplace.
By attending this training, you will become more aware of federal compliance requirements, the mandates of the West Virginia Division of Personnel’s Drug- and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy, and the resources available to state employees.
In The Drug-Free Workplace, you will:
- Learn how to identify the common characteristics of troubled employees, and what you should do in dealing with them;
- Be able to define and communicate the guidelines established in the West Virginia Drug- and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy (DOP-P2);
- Discuss your role in ensuring that your employees are in compliance with this policy; and
- Learn how to make employees aware of the Employee Referral Program Directory.
