Course Description:
Regulation is more than enforcing rules; it requires collaboration, communication, and problem solving. This course shows how fixed mindsets and poor service can weaken partnerships between regulators and industry. Through scenarios and reflection, you'll learn to spot barriers, build trust, and apply a growth mindset. By the end, you'll be ready to balance accountability with service, ensuring compliance while strengthening relationships.
You will learn how to:
- Identify common barriers to collaboration in regulatory conversations;
- Apply four principles to shift interactions from enforcement to cooperation;
- Construct responses that build trust and shared ownership of solutions;
- Learn daily team behaviors that create a collaborative culture; and
- Strengthen long-term partnerships with regulated organizations by practicing consistency, transparency, and reliable follow-through.
Audience & Applicability:
This course is designed for and fully applicable to both classified and classified-exempt employees. All content, examples, and guidance are relevant regardless of employment status.
