2012 WV Public Service Recognition Week

10/7/2012

Public Service Recognition Week (PSRW) for West Virginia Held October 1-5, 2012

PSRW is a time set aside each year to honor and thank public employees for their service. Statewide, we honor long-serving employees beginning with 20 years of service (and proceeding in increments of five years). For 2012, close to 1,800 employees were honored.

Awards for 20 and 25 years are sent to the agencies for distribution to their employees; those who have completed 30, 35, 40, etc. years of service are invited to attend The Governor’s Awards Ceremony. This year, The Governor’s Awards Ceremony was held on October 2, 2012 at the Culture Center. Employees who attended were presented their awards personally by Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. Included with this year's honorees were four employees who have attained 50 years of service!

We encourage State agencies to honor and thank all employees, especially during this special time. Congratulations to this year’s group!
