Governor’s Internship Program (GIP) Accepting Enrollments/Applications

The 2014 Governor’s Internship Program (GIP) is now open and enrolling both students and employers. These are coordinated internships in private businesses, non-profit organizations, and State government agencies. The program brings together employers and high-achieving college students (3.0 GPA or higher), and provides the interns an opportunity to step beyond the classroom into the world of experiential learning. Students gain knowledge of the tangible work environment, learn valuable communication and leadership skills, obtain experience and gain references for the future. Students may also use the internship experience to evaluate current and future career choices. To commence the enrollment process, visit www.wv.gov/gip. Last day to apply is July 8, 2014.
