Department of Administration Media Advisory: West Virginia Purchasing Division Conducts Free Vendor Webinar on Doing Business with State

CHARLESTON, W.Va. – Purchasing Director Dave Tincher announced today that the West Virginia Purchasing Division will be conducting a webinar for vendors wishing to do business with the State of West Virginia. This free webinar, titled Doing Business with West Virginia, is scheduled for Friday, May 29, 2015, from 10 - 11:30 a.m.

The webinar is designed for current and potential vendors to learn about the state procurement process and how they can maximize their opportunity to bid and perform work for West Virginia state government. Some of the topics addressed will include how vendors can:

·       Market their commodities and services to West Virginia state agencies;

·       Register as a vendor with the Purchasing Division;

·       Submit bids/proposals;

·       And much more valuable information!

“It is our goal to foster open and fair competition in the state procurement process,” Tincher said. “By offering these free informational webinars to vendors, we are doing our part to ensure that they understand the competitive bidding procedures and encourage participation in this process.”
